Ltd. on July 5, 1985 and was converted into public limited company on September 20, 1985, was promoted by the Bharat Forge Ltd. The name of the company was changed to Kalyani Sharp India Ltd. on May 2, 1986. It was a joint venture between Sharp Corporation, Japan and the Kalyani Group.
