Central Bank of India has organized a road show on the occasion for creating awareness amongst the masses for ‘Digital India’ and ‘CENT Swabhiman Plus’ a unique scheme of the Bank for senior citizens. The rally started from Bank’s Mumbai Metro Zonal Office and covered distance of 80 kilometers up to Thane in 8 hours.
The Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 641.82 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016, as compared to a net profit of Rs 112.87 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank decreased by 1.95% at Rs 6965.45 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 7104.19 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
The Bank’s gross NPA for the July- September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 13.70%, as compared to 6.86% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, bank’s Net NPA stood at 8.17% in Q2FY17.
