Container Corporation of India has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2016.
The company has reported 9.56% fall in its net profit at Rs 185.99 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 205.66 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 4.81% at Rs 1414.93 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 1486.40 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
Container Corporation of India was incorporated in March 1988 under the Companies Act, and commenced operation from November 1989 taking over the existing network of 7 ICDs from the Indian Railways. From its humble beginning, it is now an undisputed market leader having the largest network of 66 ICDs/CFSs in India.
