Siemens has won an order worth approximately Rs 101 crore from Delhi Transco (DTL). The order includes installing 220/66/33kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation at R.K. Puram, New Delhi.
DTL is the State Transmission Utility of New Delhi. To enhance its efficiency and productivity, DTL is using state of the art technologies in its operations. Keeping in view the land constraints and environmental hazards, DTL is prioritizing GIS substations in place of Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) substations. GIS substations are both reliable and maintenance-friendly, and contribute to improved quality of power in the system.
